 Safety measures enhance to maritime security
ISPS code

Objectives of Ism code:

  •  To discover the security threats and take preventive action against the security threats.
  • And proper preventive measures are placed 
  • Early and efficiently collecting the security level information, and share  the security information.


Three levels of ism code 

Level 1:

  •  Minimum appropriate preventive security measures for all the time.

Level 2:

  •  Additional protective preventive security measures for period of time.

Level 3:

  •   Level 3 is High level protective preventive security measures for limited time.


Level 1:

  •  Deck over lightings.
  • Crew photo identification 
  • Visitors should be identified
  • Regular patrolling will carried out.
  • rooms which is not in use should be closed and locked by key.
  • Certain area should be closed and locked by key


Level 2 

  •  In additional to level 1
  • Oscillation search will carried out.
  • Shore Delivery should be checked properly.
  • Visitors will strictly assist.
  • Cargo seals should be checked.
  • Visitors are restricted to ecr and bridge.
  • All crews aware of bomb alert


Level 3:

  •  In additional to level 1 and level 2
  • Gangway should be lifted.
  • Cargo operations can stop with special permission.
  • Tight patrolling will carried out.
  • Very high level security.
  • Crews aware of situation.
